The recent update of WhatsApp will now allow users to track the live location of your friends. Not only this you will also get updated via push notifications as soon as your friends change their statuses. Surprisingly its true!
The new WhatsApp update will now come with a new ‘Show My Friends’ option that makes your live location accessible to a specific set of audience for a particular time, depending on what your preference is. However, you can customize the tracking time and select the duration options like 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, or indefinitely. This comes in handy if you’re supposed to meet the gang at a certain location and time, and you want to see how far away from the destination everyone in the group is. Useful isn’t?
Don’t be alarmed, there’s good news too! The live streaming can be easily disabled so that your group members can’t snoop down your live location.
Not only this, the new beta update comes with a feature which notifies users when one of their friends changes their status message. Some of the other changes also includes the push notifications feature and the ability to delete the status in 24 hours.
