How to Share Location on Your iPhone

Are you going to meet your friend/friends in a crowdy place? It will be difficult for both to find each other in crowded places at times. Luckily, sharing location on your smartphone is a great way to find your friend in such times. If you use an iPhone, you do not need any special app to share your location. There are two ways by which you can share your location with the people you want. So here is how to share location on iphone.

Sharing location on iPhone using iMessages:

This is the simplest way to share your location. You can choose that for how much time you want to share your location with your friend. Here are the steps to share location using iMessages.

1. Open the conversation in which you want to share the location. If you are starting a new conversation, then start it as normal and then re-open it.
2. When you will open a conversation, you will find” i “icon at the top right.

3. When you will tap on this icon you will have two options. “Share my location” & “share my current location”

“Send My current location” is to share your location for one time.

“share My Location” is for sharing the location for a given time period like for an hour or so.

4. If you choose “Share My Location”, you have 3 options to share your location and after you select one of them your location will be shared with your friend.

Sharing location on iPhone using “Find Friends”:

Find friends is an inbuilt application in iPhone which can be used to find and share your location with friends. In this application both request sender and receiver must accept to share their locations.

1. You can open “Find Friends” application from the home screen or from the spotlight search.
2. As soon as you will open the application it may ask you for your apple id and password. Once you are logged in you will see a screen like this.
3. Here you can add your friend/Friends which whom you want to share your location.

4. As you can see after adding a friend again it will ask you to choose from 3 Options. You can share your location for a day, for an hour or indefinitely. As soon as you will choose an option your friend will get a notification that you have started sharing your location.
5. Your friend can choose to share his/her location or can choose only to view your location. After choosing an option your location will be shared.

So now you can go fearless your dear ones are always watching you. No matter if you are going to meet your gang or going for a reunion with your collage friends you can use this in-built feature of your iPhone to find them in crowded places.
