Chrome
If you have closed tabs while you were working on Google Chrome follow the steps below to re-open it:
- As your Chrome browser is already opened place your cursor on new tab button.
- Now right click on it and select “Reopen closed tab” option it is second last in the list that opens.
Alternatively, you can also use keyboard shortcut to open the closed tab.
- Go to your already launched Google Chrome browser
- Now press Ctrl + Shift + T keys altogether.
This will open the last closed tab to open others repeat the same procedure.
Mobile version of Google Chrome
To open closed tab when working on mobile follow the steps below:
- Tap the menu button and then hit Recent tabs.
This will open the last closed tab.
However, if you have closed the browser and now want all the tabs back then follow the steps below:
- Open the Google Chrome browser
- Now, click on the three dots at the top right of the window
- In the context menu that opens click on History and click on Recently Closed
This will open all the tabs that were closed as you exit the browser.
Firefox
To re-open closed tabs on Mozilla Firefox follow the steps below:
- As Firefox is already opened place your cursor on the ‘+’ sign
- Now right click on it and select ‘Undo Close Tab’ option
This will open the last closed tab.

- Tap on the address bar next hit the watch icon to get Recently Closed option.
This will open the last closed tab.
However, if you have closed the browser and now want all the tabs back then follow the steps below:
- Open Firefox
- Now, click on the three lines at the top right of the window.
- In the context menu that opens, click on Restore Previous Session.
This will open all the tabs that were closed as you exit the browser.
Safari
To re-open closed tabs while you were working on Safari follow the steps below:
- As Safari is already opened click on History tab.
- From the list that opens click on Reopen Last Closed Window
This will open the last closed tab.

- Tap the Tabs button and long-press the + button to open list of Recently Closed Tabs.
Microsoft Edge
To re-open closed tabs while you were working on Edge follow the steps below:
- As Edge is already opened place your cursor on any open tab.
- Right click it to get the option Reopen closed tab.
Alternatively, you can also use keyboard shortcut to open the closed tab
- Go to your already launched Edge browser
- Now press Ctrl + Shift + T keys altogether.
