How to Download Netflix Movies and Shows on Smartphone

Having a bad day? Well, life just got better as you’ll be glad to know that Netflix content can now be downloaded on your Android or iOS device as well. Finally, watching shows such as Stranger Things and Narcos on-the-go is a reality.

Netflix now gives you a chance to download shows and movies using the Netflix app. In this way, you can watch your favorite movie and shows when you’re on a plane, without an internet connection. Now downloading Netflix content is a super simple approach to save money and internet data plan of your smartphone.

Here’s how you can download Netflix movies and shows on smartphone-

Download Netflix Mobile App

In case you haven’t installed the Netflix mobile app yet download it via App store or Play Store suiting on whatever device you own. If you already have the app then update it!

NOTE: The new features work on Android devices running Android 4.4.2 and up, as well as iOS 9.0 or later.

After updating when you’ll open the app for the very first time, Netflix displays a download symbol used to initiate a download. Just remember, at the base of the popup is a link that takes you to all movies and shows that can be currently downloaded on your device.

Select it! Try not to stress if by any chance you close the incite before reading it, there’s another “Available for Download” option inside the application.

Once you find a movie or a TV show episode that you want to watch offline, tap on the download icon on that video’s page. The downloaded video can now be founded in the My Downloads section of the app. You’ll now be able to watch your video regardless of whether you have an active internet connection or not.

Managing Download Settings

To manage the download settings, go to App Settings and choose between standard and high Video Quality. High will, of course, take up more storage space on your phone.

To delete all downloads in one step, open the menu drawer then tap on App Settings followed by Delete All Downloads.

Storage Troubles? Save to SD Card!

Storage troubles? Not a problem! Netflix now allows you to store content on external storage also. To do this slide out the menu and select App Settings > Download Location. Select your SD Card, then go back to the previous menu. (Refer above snapshot)
