Configuring your Hotmail to this platform is extremely simple and is mostly done automatically by Outlook. You can do this with Outlook’s Auto-Setup method after entering your email address. Note: Manual Configuration with Hotmail account is not an option with Outlook Exchange.

  1. Enter Your Name (Full name preferably)
  2. Enter Email address for your Hotmail account (@Hotmail.com)
  3. Enter your password for your email account. In case of two-step verification enter app password from your Microsoft account.

In case you’re using older versions of Outlook such as 2003, 2007 and 2010, you will have to download a special utility called Outlook Connector. Choose your version according to your system requirements and the version of Outlook you’ve installed (32-bit or 64-bit).

  1. Launch Outlook client (2003 and 2007).
  2. If you’re not prompted to add a new account, navigate to tools>account settings>Outlook Connector>Add New Account.
