Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is the latest tech flavor of this season! Just like all other devices, Note 9 is pre-loaded with a bunch of awesome features and settings too. But why stick to default settings when you can do so much more than that? Yes, that’s right!
By making a few tweaks in settings you can make your Note 9 even cooler than before. Here are a bunch of Galaxy Note 9 tips and tricks which will help you to get started with your new-fangled device.

Customize Navigation Controls
This is the first thing to do to get started with your all new Galaxy Note 9 smartphone. By default, on most Samsung device the navigation button controls are in this order: Recents, Home and Back. But most of us are not comfortable with the “Back button” to be on the right most corner and rather prefer it on left. So, to customize navigation controls on Note 9 here’s what you need to do.
Head on to Settings > Display > Navigation bar > Button layout and switch the order as per your preference.
Camera Quick Launch
This is one of the key features of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 device. As camera is one of the most used features on smartphone, Samsung has nattily introduced a new highlight where you can quick launch the camera by simply double tapping the power button, even the device is unlocked.
All you have to do is enable this feature once on your Note 9 device. Launch the camera app, tap on gear icon to open camera settings and enable “Quick Launch” option.
Activate the Edge Lighting
Are you an attention seeker? If yes, then by activating the Edge lighting feature on your device you can drive more and more attention to your newly purchased smartphone. With Edge Lighting feature enabled on Note 9, as soon as you’ll place your device face down on a surface you will see colors light up due to the curved edges of the screen.
To enable Edge lighting and to drive more and more eyes on your device head on to Settings > Display > Edge screen > Edge lighting. You can also customize the light effects, transparency etc. and keep it as per your preference.
Enable Fingerprint Gestures
With each newly launched device, we see more features and lesser button controls. As technology has evolved, Galaxy Note 9 also allows you to have more hold on your device by enabling fingerprint gesture controls. To enable gestures on Note 9 head on to Settings > Advanced features > Finger sensor gestures.
Avoid Pocket Dials and Accidental Touches
To avoid any sort of accidental calling or texting or pocket dials on Note 9 here’s what you need to do. Go to Settings > Display > Block accidental touches. Once you enable this feature your device will automatically detect if it’s in a bag or pocket and will block various sensors as soon as it’s in a dark place.
Change Display Resolution
Customizing the display resolution of your devices plays a huge role on battery life. Go to Settings> Display > Screen resolution. Here you can customize your device’s display resolution to make the most every single pixel of screen.
