There are popular apps that are available for iOS devices, but aren’t available for Mac OS. If apps that we use on iOS come for Mac OS, it will be more convenient.

Well, Apple has started to work on this, and as said at the WWDC 2018, the process is still at the initial stage and will soon be completed.

So, today, in this article we will be talking about the popular iOS apps that we desperately need for MacBook as well to make daily life easy.

1. NETFLIX

Why is it that there is a Netflix app for Windows but not for MacOS?

Netflix on MacOS can only be viewed through web browsers installed such as Safari Browser, Mozilla Firefox, and  Google Chrome.

Getting Netflix app for MacBook will give better offline mode experience to users and will also help in saving data. Also, users will be able to stream the Netflix in better resolution than ever with MacBook retina display.

2. GMAIL

 While Gmail is available for iOS but it isn’t for MacBook. As Google develops its best apps and launches them for Apple’s mobile platform, iOS first, still Google hasn’t developed it for Mac so far. What an irony! Well, Google also thinks that the whole focus of users using Mac is shifting on browsers, so instead of developing an app why not improve the browser than make the app. But, if Gmail was there for MacBook, features like auto replies and sorting would have  made it much easier for the users to manage their mails.

3. GOOGLE KEEP

 We are sure, you all might have used Google Keep on your iOS devices and Android smartphones, or web. But, this app is not available for MacOS. For those, who haven’t used Google Keep, it is a fast note taking app or a notepad app that has features such as  photo notes, voice notes, and checklists. This app is directly connected to your Google Drive, which can be accessed for later purposes.

If this app comes for MacOS, it would be easier to stay organized, and would be simpler to manage everything according to your priorities. Also, this would be much convenient for user to manage single app from both phone and MacBook.

4. KAYAK

 This is an application only available for iOS devices. Kayak, for those who don’t know, is an app for searching and booking hotels available at the lowest prices. It is an all-in-one app to book hotel and flights, to rent a car, or to plan & book a trip.

If Kayak comes for MacBook user won’t have to read mails for booking on phone, instead user can read mails directly. Also, user would be able to view much more options on MacBook, resulting in more savings and better place to stay at.

5. OVERCAST

It is one of the best application for an audio podcasts. A player that has several features, which makes it different from the other podcast apps.

As it is one of the best, it shouldn’t be only limited to iOS devices. This app is easy to use on iOS devices, but, if it comes for MacBook’s, it will give users a much different experience than ever before.

6. UBER 

Well, sometimes there are situations when our phone is discharged, or when in a meeting and can’t access your phone, in that situation there must be an Uber app for MacBook.

By bringing popular cab booking apps to desktop, booking a ride in such situations will no more be a task. And, it will be much quicker and easy to pay the bill on MacBook. Hope Uber will soon come up with app for desktop as well.
