Microsoft Edge happens to be the latest web browser version which was rolled along with Windows 10. Well, it sure had to face some tough competition from its rivals like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome but slowly and steadily it has made its place among our favorites.
If compared to Internet Explorer Edge is much safer, tidier, and organized. It offers a bunch of useful features and customizations which you can use to make your browsing experience more personalized. So, here are a few Microsoft Edge tips and tricks that’ll allow you to use this web browser up to its full potential.
Let’s get started.
Customize Home Page
The homepage is the main screen which we see as soon as we launch any web browser but we’re often too lazy to customize it in a way how we like it. So, for getting started with Edge browser’s startup page here’s what you need to do. Tap on the Main menu on the top right corner and then select “Settings”. Here you will see a bunch of options under “Open With” section that’ll offer you choices of how you would like to see your home page. You can either use Startup page, new tab window, previous page or any other specific web page of your choice.
Customize New Tab Window
Whenever we open the new tab window, we see a variety of recently opened web pages on the main screen. So, if your Edge browser is not displaying any suggestions here’s what you need to do. Head on to Settings, scroll down to “Open New Tabs With” section and select your option from the drop-down list.
Import Bookmarks and Favorites
If you’re currently using any other browser and feel like giving Edge a shot, then don’t worry about your already saved bookmarks and favorites. To import bookmarks and Favorites on Edge, tap the three horizontal lines icon option. Now, select “Import Favorites” option, select the web browser name from where you would like to import and tap the “Import” button.
Article Reading List
If you like any article while surfing the Internet and would like to save it for later then you can try creating an article reading list on Edge. Simply tap the star icon when you’re at that page, select “Reading List” option and tap the “Add” button.
Add a Website to Start Menu
