Did you know your Apple Watch can serve as a bedside clock while it’s charging? It’s called Nightstand mode. Yet, there are a few things you should know before you dispose-off your standard alarm clock in favor of Apple Watch.
But before we proceed further, let’s understand how Nightstand mode works.
What Is Nightstand Mode?
Placing your Apple Watch upright on its charger, automatically enables Nightstand Mode. This changes the screen from your typical watch face to an advanced digital clock that takes up the entire screen. Exactly like any customary bedside clock!
At that point, when you take your watch off of the charger, it will naturally exit Nightstand Mode and backpedal to showing your typical watch confront.

What Nightstand Mode Doesn’t Do?
Night Stand Mode appears to be truly convenient, however there are a few things it might not anticipate. Firstly, when you have your Apple Watch in Nightstand Mode, the screen doesn’t stay on. Rather, it shuts-off after couple moments. To turn the screen back on, you simply need to give the watch a light tap and it will enlighten for a couple of seconds.
Unfortunately, you can’t adjust screen brightness at whatever point it kicks on. Ideally it is expected that these features will be taken care of in the future updates. However, this small flaw might prevent Apple Watch from turning into a genuine replacement for alarm clock.
