The Assistant is already available on Pixel, Google Home, Google Allo and various Android Wear. Now, the recent news which rolled said that starting this week, the Google Assistant is now coming to smartphones running over Android 7.0 Nougat and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Google Play services.

To get started, all you need to do is touch and hold the Home button. 

With the Google Assistant on Android phones, you’ll have your own personal, helpful Google right in your pocket.

The Google Assistant will begin rolling out this week to English users in the U.S., followed by English in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, as well as German speakers in Germany. In addition to this google claimed that soon new languages will also be added in the coming year. The ultimate goal behind this idea is to make the Assistant available to more number of users, wherever they need it.

But if you’re hearing that people in your area are getting the assistant and you still don’t have it, then sideloading an APK can be a safer bet.
