6. Now to encrypt the PDF document enter the password of choice. Reenter the password and click on OK. Make sure that the length of password must be minimum 6 characters.

7. Once you click on Publish button the word file is saved as password protected PDF file on the location you have specified.

8. To check whether the file is password protected or not, double-click on it. It will show you a prompt that the file is protected. Please enter a Document Open Password. So, to reveal the content stored in the file you always need to enter the password.
