Passwords—don’t they drive us crazy? And especially when it comes to choosing a password. It has to be easy to remember yet hard to guess. Complex, strong and unique passwords will always give you an edge by adding an extra layer of protection to your account as hackers cannot easily penetrate your account.
Whether you’re accessing your emails or social media accounts or any app, you do need to remember passwords—a lot of passwords. So, what do you usually do when your friend asks for your password? Say, if he needs to log in to your YouTube or Netflix account? You share it via text or WhatsApp or say it out loud if they’re sitting next to you, isn’t it? Don’t you think sharing your passwords via text or WhatsApp is a bit risky? You should strongly consider a more secure way to share passwords across devices.

How to Share Passwords Using AirDrop on iOS
To share saved passwords across iOS devices using AirDrop, here’s what you need to do.
Navigate to Settings> General> AirDrop and set it as “Contacts Only” so that only the selected recipient can get access to the shared information.
Now, head back to the Settings page, select Passwords & Accounts> Website and App Passwords.
As Apple leaves no stone unturned when it comes to security, in the next step, you will be prompted to enter your device passcode (If there’s any) to confirm your identity and authenticate the process.
Pick the app whose user id and password you need to send across, and then long-press on it.
Here you will see two options, one is Copy, and the other is “AirDrop”.
Tap on AirDrop, select your contact’s name and then tap on “Done” to share your password securely.
And you know what’s the best part about sharing passwords with AirDrop. The password which you just shared via AirDrop will be automatically stored on the recipient’s iOS device so that you don’t have to follow this process, each time they want to access an app or when they try to bug you asking for your Netflix password again.
