How to Access the New ‘Dark Mode’ Setting
Apple has provided Dark Mode settings, which inverts the color of your iPhone screen once it’s dark.
To change it, follow the steps below:
- Open Settings.
- In Settings select General.
- From General tap on Accessibility.
- In Accessibility go to Display Accommodations.
In Display Accommodations toggle on Smart Invert to enable Dark Mode.
Apple has provided two options in this mode, Smart and Classic Invert. Although, there are minor differences between both the modes.
However, in Photos App Classic Mode inverts all the colors of picture and videos.
Access Your AirDrop Settings in iOS 11’s New Control Center
AirDrop allows easy and quick file transfer between iPhones, iPads, and Macs. It connects two devices using Bluetooth then uses Wi-Fi to transfer data. Surprisingly,
AirDrop is a little hidden in iOS 11. To access it quickly follow the steps below:
- Open Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of your screen.
- Now long press on the box which contains connection settings, you can also 3D touch it, which depends on your device.
- The box will open in full screen mode, which will also have AirDrop in it.
Open AirDrop settings by tapping on it. You can use AirDrop are per your need.
Disable Auto-Playing Videos in the iOS 11 App Store
iOS has this time introduced a new App Store. This update of App Store auto plays videos that are on the app page or game page.
This can get quite annoying and consume a lot of your data resulting in incurring charges. You can disable this auto playing of videos or change the settings so that they will auto play on Wi-Fi only.
To do so, follow the steps below:
- Open Settings.
- In Settings, select iTunes & App Store
- You will see Auto Play Videos as an option, tap on that
- You will get the option to turn it completely off or to play on Wi-Fi only.
Remove the Bottom App Drawer in iOS 11’s Messages App for iPhone
For those who don’t use, another annoying feature of iOS 11 is the App Drawer. It is placed below the messaging application.
It is a quick way to access different applications, however, for those who don’t use it, it can be irritating.
To disable Drawer, simply tap on the App Store icon and push it away.
