How To Delete Spotify Account ?
As we already told you, deleting Spotify account will delete all the saved playlists and followers as well as the username. Additionally, you won’t be able to apply your student discount for another account for a year. However, you can open a new account using the same email address. Now to delete Spotify account, follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Open any of the web browsers on the computer system or your phone. (One cannot delete Spotify account directly from the Spotify app itself.)
Step 2: Go to Spotify webpage and log in to your account. Here, go to Contact Customer Page and click on ‘Account’.
Step 3: Choose ‘I want to close my account.’
Step 4: Under the section of Permanently Close Account, click the ‘Close Account’ option to cancel your paid subscription.
Step 5: The next page will tell you that ‘We’re sad you want to leave us’. Here, you have to click on the ‘Continue’ button as every next step comes up.
Step 6: Click on the blue ‘Continue’ button on the page ‘OK! Is this the account you want to close?’ It helps in verifying the account you want to close.
Step 7: On the other page which warns that you will lose followers and playlists, click on the checkbox and once again the blue ‘Continue’ button.
Step 8: When you click ‘Continue‘ on the next page, a mail will be delivered to your account to confirm the deletion of the Spotify account.
Step 9: Open the email and click on ‘Close my account’. Make sure that you click the button within 24 hours of receiving the email.
