Note: Require Touch ID/FaceID option depends on the iPhone model you have. For iPhone X and new versions will have Require Face ID and for iPhone 8 and older versions, you will get Require Touch ID.
You will also get an option of whether you wish to lock WhatsApp immediately you exit, or After 1 minute, After 15 minutes, After 1 hour and more. Choose the preferred option.
From now on whenever you will launch WhatsApp on iPhone, you need to use Touch ID or Face ID to access your chats.
Note: Even though WhatsApp is locked, you can still reply to WhatsApp messages from Notification Centre.
