Microsoft is organizing a day-long launch event for Visual Studio 2019, the new version of its famous integrated development platform for Windows as well as Mac. The launch is set to take place on April 2 at 9 AM. The tech giant has plans to showcase how the new version of Visual Studio will increase developer’s productivity. Also, developers will be able to benefit from the AI features with the new build.
What Is The Benefit Of The New Version?
As the version is said to be more productive, therefore increment in coding space and smarter debugging could be expected. Also, it promises “something for everyone,” irrespective of the platform or programming language used by a developer.
Visual Studio 2019 comes with preinstalled Microsoft Visual Studio Live Share coding-collaboration service. It includes a new start window to assist users to get coding faster, better Python virtual and conda support, improved search capabilities, Visual Studio IntelliCode AI assistance, overall performance improvements, along with support for .NET Core 3.0 projects, including WinForms and WPF.

The development of Visual Studio 2019 has been work-in-progress for some time, it got announced in June 2018 and a public preview of development software was made available in December 2018. The third preview was released a day before yesterday, i.e. 13th February 2019. Microsoft says that it will give future preview updates, will be open to feedback to make changes in the product before it becomes available.
What Else Can You Expect From Launch Event?
The April 2 event will not only surround development software release but also will focus on GitHub service and Azure DevOps. The keynotes will start with the highlights of features that the company has been added to the software. Followed by live streamed sessions including Q&A’s to demonstrate programming languages and features in detail.
