Follow the steps below to enable fingerprint lock on WhatsApp for Android:
Step 1: Launch the app on your phone, make sure you have the latest beta version.
Step 2: Head to Settings from the top-right corner menu button.
Step 3: Now go to Account.
Step 4: Go to Privacy.
Step 5: Select Fingerprint, the option shown in last.
Step 6: Turn On the option “Unlock with Fingerprint” by toggling the switch. Add your fingerprint lock for enabling the feature.
This says three options appear as follows-
- Automatically lock:
- Immediately
- After 1 minute
- After 30 minutes.
You can choose any one according to your preference.
- Show content in notifications:
Whether you wish to preview the messages in notifications or not. You will be able to see these if it is turned on along with the sender’s name and the content of the message.
But if you wish to turn it off, the preview is disabled, and no message will show in notification in locked state.
Remember you can still receive calls on WhatsApp with the lock enabled.
