Facebook Adds ‘Stories’ To Shame The Stalker In You!

We all are guilty of snooping  around other people’s FB profiles; whether it is the ex, crush or even the partner, we stalk them knowing fully well that they will never know who’s been spying! But there is some bad news for you. Now people can figure out who stalked them with the help of a new feature added by Facebook: Stories, much like Snapchat and Instagram.

According to the National Center for Victims of Crime, 1,006,970 women and 370,000 men are stalked annually in The United States. Actually, “3 out of 10 teens in the United States have been stalked by complete strangers on Facebook and received friend requests from people they didn’t know”.

If we will talk about youth, then yes, it is very common trend nowadays to do a little bit of Facebook stalking or social media stalking. Checking on your friend’s page and leaving it after few minutes or when you consistently and purposely looking at the page and not taking any action is not stalking, that’s something we all do. According to various sources, “one in six women and one in nineteen men in the United States have experienced stalking during their lifetime and 52% of stalking victims are 18 to 29 years old when the stalking starts on Facebook”.

New feature ‘Stories’.

As Facebook, has added a new feature that allows the users to share the update, post, photos and videos in a form of story that is visible for 24 hours and that allows you to keep a track that exactly how many people viewed your story and which specific bits they have watched of it. This feature is also available on Snapchat and Instagram.

Here are few steps that will help to know who’s been stalking on Facebook without your knowledge.

Step 1: Login into your Facebook Account.

Step 2: Click anywhere on white screen and select View Page Source.

Step 3: It will take you to a different page, full of codes.

Step 4: Press Crtl + F.

Step 5: Type in “initialchatfriendslist” the search bar.

Step 6: Locate the numerical numbers that has eight to nine digits. For Example: 654701325.

Step 7: Type in the numbers after Facebook URL, it will look something like http://www.facebook.com/654701325.

Step 8: You will get the stalker list is revealed.

Now you have found a web address where you need to paste the code one at a time, and after that you can see your stalkers.

You can’t fix the people who have fake accounts on Facebook. However, you should keep your eyes peeled, you never know when you are being stalked. But using these above instructions will let you stay notified. This is a nice trick to protect Facebook users, so stalkers be warned.
