How do you like the idea of getting a 3D view of the street you live in? That’s what Google Earth lets you do along with a lot of other things collectively known as ‘geobrowsing’. Google Earth constantly tries to enhance your visual experience by introducing new features on and off.
If you haven’t used Google Earth yet, we will certainly recommend you to try it as there’s lots you can explore without setting a foot outside. After the release of the new version, users are able to access some amazing features and you will surely lose track of time exploring Google Earth.
What is new in Google Earth?
1. Voyager:
Voyager according to Google – “Grab the helm and take a voyage in the new Google Earth.” Voyager is all about visiting and finding the best places on earth on a single click.
You can go to the Voyager by clicking on three horizontal lines on the left-hand side corner.
Voyager is categorized under the headings – Editor’s picks, Travel, Nature, Culture and History. Each of the categories will take you to the amazing places on Earth and will reveal what is happening over there through Knowledge cards, videos and slideshows.

You can look at Grand Canyon National Park and get lost in grandeur and sublimity and check out the place where Charles Dickens used to live and much more. You will certainly lose the track of time watching the vivid photos of Wonders of the Ancient and Modern World.
Google Earth has teamed up with BBC and NASA to add video clips and make it vivid.
There are two other things that tag along Voyager, Postcard and Itinerary. Itinerary just as the name suggests, it provides you with places to visit like city guides with pinpointed places that are must visit.
Wherein, Postcard lets you share the images of a landmark from itinerary with others to show where to meet or point of interest.

2. I am Feeling Lucky:
Coming to the next new feature, “ I am Feeling Lucky”. A small dice like icon lets you see thousands of text panels (knowledge cards), a vast collection of pictures and links related places.
Google Earth with this feature is trying to become like Google Search engine which enables us to search anything and everything.
Whether you are finding a place to explore or you want to see the wonders of the world, with this exquisite feature you can get the images of all the places with the wide database of about 20000 places as of now. Google has said to be collecting more database to widen the search more.
3. 3D Button:
The new features introduced would not be complete without the 3D button to make the images come alive. 3D button renders the images in such a way it feels realistic. Every place you check on Voyager has been adjudicated in 3D, the views are impressive. The views that we like can also be shared with our family and friends through Postcards.

This update rolled out on Tuesday 18th April 2017 and is available for Android and Chrome Browser as of now and will be available for IOS and other browsers soon.

Now you can check out all the cool features in Chrome Browser on your desktop by going to the official website of Google Earth but for Android mobile users, they still must download the Google Earth application to get the most of it.
