Emojis are a great way to express our emotions! Sometimes they even help us to express those feelings which can never think of saying out loud. But why use those standard (dull and boring too!) “Yellow-faced” smiley to do this, when you can turn your selfie into a fun emojis?

Yes, you heard that right! Google Allo now allows you to morph your selfies into custom emojis. Google’s very own widely popular chat app Allo creates your face as a base allowing you to create a bunch of cool emojis.

Another Step Forward Towards Machine Learning

Turning Selfies into emojis isn’t as easy as it sounds. There are a ton of parameters to be kept in consideration like eye color, light exposure, smile curve and more. The aim was to avoid the reaction of creepiness people often feel when seeing at human replicas that appear almost, but not exactly, like real human beings. Allo turned to neutral networks in the form of computer system that works like human brain and then came up with this idea.

Google stated that this new Allo feature uses a combination of a computer vision algorithm with artwork created by humans to generate the sticker pack illustrations.

Ultimately, there are  about 563 quadrillion different combinations of sticker images that can be generated from that artwork. If you don’t like the sticker pack generated from your selfie, don’t worry! Allo also allows you to customize the artwork with a different hairstyle, skin color, nose shape, and more.

P.S. This feature has just started to roll out on Android devices, iOS users might still have to wait a little. The feature might be available anytime soon in near future.

So, the next time you want to use an emoji to show your friends how exactly you feel—make Google Allo your first choice.

Your selfie obsession just got pumped, eh?
