Step 4: Select Contacts only to limit the communication by your kids using the phone for FaceTime, making calls and texting.
Now, let’s try making a call to someone from the iPhone.
As your phone number is recognized by iPhone to be an unknown number, it will restrict you to make a call. This will show as a message on a screen with the number – “XYZ’ is not an allowed contact.
Now, when you are not really able to make a call from this contact, you cannot even receive the calls from the contact. All the calls made to the number will go unnoticed as it will not ring. Only when checked in the Recent Call history, you can notice a missed call from a number.
This makes it very safe for the kids to use the iPhone with much restriction to is able to contact them.
Step 5: Moreover to monitor the conversations, toggle the switch for Allow introductions in groups. This will allow the people to communicate with kids while a family member is present in the same group.
As it is shown in the image, the contact appears in red whereas generally the contact color is green. This is also an indication that you won’t be able to contact the person. While, you try to type, you will notice you cannot select the message typing.
