Facebook has become an important part of our social life. Most of us can’t go a day without checking our Facebook news feed, right? Be it tagging friends in memes or mentioning a friend’s name in a post or adding status updates, Facebook has surely given us plenty of reasons to stick to it!
From friends to family to colleagues Facebook is that one place which keeps our social life intact. But at times our Facebook experience often gets hindered by spam advertisements or annoying page posts. So, to improve your Facebook experience and to make it more engaging we have compiled a few ways that are surely worth the attention.
Let’s check em’ out one by one in detail.
1. Manage Your News Feed Effectively
News Feed is probably the first thing we have to interact with as soon as we login to our account. Even if you’re continuously scrolling through it, new posts will keep coming up. Facebook developers have designed the algorithm in such a way that the infinitely lengthy News Feed will keep on showing posts on and on.
So, the first step to improve your Facebook experience is to manage your News Feed and make it more manageable. Just go to Settings > News Feed Preferences and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you find some accounts way too annoying to tolerate or if there’s a friend of yours who bugs you by posting 24 hours a day you can even snooze that contact. Snoozing a contact is anyway better than unfriending them as it won’t hurt their feelings yet you can have a better peace of mind with less annoying posts.

2. Follow Pages That Interest You Most
Getting rid of annoying creeps was the first step but now what? Nobody likes an empty News Feed, right? So, now what we have to do is fill our Facebook News Feed with pages and posts that we like.
If there are certain celebrity figures whose account you follow or some pages whose content you actually like, you can pin it them the top of your News Feed so that you never miss a post again. To do this, visit the Facebook Profile of someone whose posts you never want to miss, now tap the “Following” icon, and then select the “See First” option.
You can follow the same set of instructions for business pages as well depending upon your tastes and preferences.

3. Avoid the News Feed Entirely
If you’re not a big fan of Facebook News Feed, there’s also an option of completely getting rid of it. To do this first uninstall the primary Facebook app from your Smartphone and rely on other apps instead.
You can pick Facebook mobile site to check your account, as it’s comparatively less annoying and won’t take much of phone’s space as well. And for connecting with friends on Messenger you can try the web app available at www.Messenger.com.
4. Turn OFF All Notifications
Not just a social hub, but over time Facebook has also evolved into a market place where businesses aim to advertise to the right target audience, based upon your likes and interests. Facebook notifies about each activity, when a friend mentions you in a comment, or when a friend tags you in a post, or when an event is approaching and more.
Due to all this our Smartphone keeps on popping some or the other Facebook notification all day long. So, if you want to avoid this and feel like turning OFF all Facebook notifications, launch the Facebook app on your device, head on to Settings section. Scroll down until you see “Notifications” and then tap on it.
Follow the on-screen instructions and manage Facebook notifications just how you like it!
