Lock App Icons

Lock App Icons

While our phone is in the pocket and left unlocked, the app icons often get jumbled up. And if your kids usually use your smartphone to play games, even they can sometimes mess up your home screen and accidentally remove a few app icons from the screen. So, to avoid this Samsung has offered an effective solution. Long press on the home screen and then tap on “Home Screen Grid”. Now scroll through the list of options and then toggle the “Lock Home Screen Layout” option that will lock down all the app icons in their place.

Find My Mobile

Better safe than sorry, as they say! Before you lost your device by any chance, it’s recommended that you’ve enabled “Find My Mobile” feature on your Galaxy S10 smartphone. Find My Mobile allows you to track down your lost device so that you can see the current location of your phone and find it back. Head on to Settings> Biometric and Security and enable the “Find My Mobile” feature. So, now whenever you lose your device (We hope not) open https://findmymobile.samsung.com/ and track down your lost phone.

Hide the Camera Cutout

Hide the Camera Cutout

Don’t want to view the front camera cutout on screen? Samsung Galaxy S10 allows you to add a black bar to it so that it’s not visible. To do so, head on to Settings> Display> Full-Screen Apps and then enable the “Hide Camera Cutout” slider option.

Status Bar

As Galaxy S10’s front display now includes a camera cutout, this somehow limits the number of other status bar icons. So, in case you want to remove this limitation swipe down to open the quick settings menu. Hit the three-dot menu icon and then head on to Status Bar> All Notifications.

Always On Display

Always On Display

When we hear about Always-on display, Samsung is the first name that comes to our mind. Samsung has proudly been the initiator for rolling out the always-on display on smartphones. And since then, almost every tech giant has now started following this trend. So, if you want to enable Always-on display on your Galaxy S10 here’s what you need to do. Head on to Settings > Lock screen > Always on display > Display mode > Show always. On this screen, you will also find a bunch of more customization options related to Always-on display which you can use as per your preferences.
