New Instagram Logo and Design Rolls Out to Offer Newness to Users

With a blog post- “Today we’re introducing a new look. You’ll see an updated icon and app design for Instagram. Inspired by the previous app icon, the new one represents a simpler camera and the rainbow lives on in gradient form.”- Instagram introduced its new logo and app UI to users all across yesterday.

The world-wide popular photo-sharing platform has brought newness with its colorful icon and simple app design. This can be looked up as vice-versa of the previous version’s layout. Earlier, the icon was kept simple with a classic camera lens and a rich blue theme inside the app. This is altered with a colorful camera like icon and simple white and black app theme.

Instagram has reported that the app has been modified to be simpler in order to bring more focus on users’ photos and videos. Perhaps this change will let users’ have full control over their post. Please mind, this was same earlier as well but now more ingenuity and vibrancy would be invited from users’ sides. Voila! Simple background and creative images will be the new fashion for Instagram.

Instagram- With Simple Changes

The major changes include the UI and logo of the app. Instead of blue and white theme, there will be a white and black theme, making the app extreme plain at its interface. However, features of the app have not been changed even a bit. You will find the home, search, camera, activity and profile features at their destined places.

The logo can be called a blend of some beautiful bright colors. An animated camera has been designed on its logo to make it “a more modern app icon that strikes a balance between recognition and versatility.”

Instagram’s Head of Design, Ian Spalter says, “When Instagram was founded over five years ago, it was a place for you to easily edit and share photos. Over those five years, things have changed…Instagram is now a diverse community of interests where people are sharing more photos and videos than ever before, using new tools like Boomerang and Layout, and connecting in new ways through Explore.”

Other Changes by Instagram

Apart from the changes in Instagram, Instagram Inc. has also changed logos for Layout, Boomerang, and Hyperlapse. All four changed logos have same color theme with different designs.

With all these changes we expect the users will enjoy a broadened experience with fresh interface and connect in new ways.
