Instagram which was earlier known as a photo editing tool gaining remarkable popularity as a social media platform for sharing images and attracting followers. It is loaded with amazing filters and other features to share photos and videos with the world or with a limited audience. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated feature to share live photos on Instagram. Sharing Live Photos Through Your Stories:

Sharing your live photos as stories on Instagram is comparatively easier but it is having some limitations. First is you can share your live photos which you have taken only in last 24 hours. Another limitation is your live photo will be shared as Boomerang which is a loop but at least we have a method of sharing live photos on Instagram. Here is how you can do this.

1. Open Instagram app on your iPhone normally and swipe right to create new story.
   
2. This will open camera on the left bottom you will find a button to access your camera roll, tap on it and you will find all the photos and videos captured in last 24 hours.
   
3. Tap on a live photo it will be visible as a normal photograph now 3D touch on the live photo you will find it converting to boomerang.
4. Once your live photo is converted to boomerang you can share it on your story or it can be shared with an individual follower.
   
5. You can also download so obtained boomerang to your camera roll and then you can share it as normal post on Instagram. If you have shared the boomerang as your story or with an individual follower, then too it can be shared as a normal post on Instagram.

Why live photos cannot be uploaded as a video?

This brings a question in my mind when we can upload a video on Instagram then why a live photo cannot be uploaded as video. Live photos are simply a short video of 1.5 seconds and we can convert them to video using third party websites or applications which are free to use but the problem is with Instagram. It does not accept videos having length of less than 3 seconds.

Again, there is another workaround to convert your live photo to a video of longer length.

1. Convert your live photo to a loop or a bounce (Whichever looks good) by swiping up on the live photo.
2. Once you are done with the conversion start screen recording and view the photograph you have just converted after 3 seconds or more stop screen recording.
3. Your screen recording will be saved to camera roll as a video. You can trim this video to remove what is not required. Now your final video is ready to be uploaded on Instagram.

So, this was how to Instagram a live photo but remember them to share before 24 hours. If you still forget to do this, then you can convert it to a video of longer length.
